Having delighted audiences in Worthing, the King Lear cast are heading directly to yet another exciting festival – Salisbury International Arts Festival to be precise.
This festival makes use of many of the fantastic nearby arts venues in Salisbury as well as locating some performances in more unusual places. Old Wardour Castle is a beautiful outdoor location which will play host to King Lear from 5 – 8 June.
The stunning castle ruins of this English Heritage site will provide a magical setting for the cast to perform their tragedy, with the peaceful backdrop of the Wiltshire countryside and lakes. Have a look at their Flickr for pictures of this beautiful venue. The castle was first built in the 14th century for comfortable living and lavish entertainment.
Performances are at 6.30pm from 5 – 8 June. Tickets are available here.
