Word of the Week: Whirligig (n.) – spinning top, roundabout
‘Why, ‘some are born great, some achieve greatness,
and some have greatness thrown upon them.’ I was
one, sir, in this interlude; one Sir Topas, sir; but
that’s all one. ‘By the Lord, fool, I am not mad.’
But do you remember? ‘Madam, why laugh you at such
a barren rascal? an you smile not, he’s gagged:’
and thus the whirligig of time brings in his revenges.’

Behind The Voice:
Kaja works in our Exhibition Department and deals with group bookings. Her particular area of academic interest is vampire literature and is the go-to-girl on all things occult. However, she is quick to point out that she was a fan of vampires “before they were cool”; whether this is ‘cool’ as in cold-blooded, or cool as in in vogue, we’re unsure.
Her favourite Shakespeare play is Romeo and Juliet.
